Satya Djaya Raya Foundation

Established on March 26, 2012, by Osbert Lyman, the Satya Djaya Raya Foundation (YSDR) was founded in response to the growing concern over the declining understanding of Indonesia’s cultural heritage among younger generations. Many cultural traditions and legacies are recognized merely as symbols or customs, with little appreciation of the values and philosophies they embody.

In response to this challenge, YSDR is committed to preserving and reintroducing the deeper meaning of Indonesian culture through initiatives in education, arts, social development, and humanitarian efforts.

Creative Arts and Culture

YSDR fosters the growth of creativity in arts and culture as a means of preserving the relevance of cultural heritage in an ever-evolving world. Through a wide range of programs, the Foundation provides opportunities for artists, communities, and younger generations to explore, innovate, and create works that are deeply rooted in cultural values while remaining relevant to contemporary developments.

Social Impact

YSDR believes that cultural preservation should go hand in hand with improving community well-being. Therefore, every program is designed to generate both social and economic impact—from creating employment opportunities and empowering local communities to providing arts and cultural spaces that serve as venues for learning, recreation, and a shared sense of pride.

What We Do

Events

Every event organized by YSDR serves as a platform where artists, academics, communities, and the public come together to exchange ideas, celebrate cultural diversity, and create meaningful, lasting experiences.

Culture

YSDR supports the preservation and advancement of culture through research initiatives, exhibitions, collaborative programs, and the empowerment of artists and local communities. We believe that a vibrant and evolving culture becomes a source of inspiration, identity, and social value for society as a whole.

Education

Through educational initiatives, YSDR promotes learning, creativity, and the exchange of knowledge, enriching public understanding of the arts, culture, and social life.
